Yelin, a Yiddish writer and underground fighter in the Kaunas (Kovno) ghetto. In 1928, he graduated from the Real Gymnasium in Kaunas, then studied in Darmstadt, and in 1933 received his degree as a construction engineer. He immigrated to Israel in 1973, and was a member of the Yiddish Writers and Journalist Association in Israel and editor of two volumes of the anthology "Yiddish Literature in Israel". Won the "Manger" Award, the New-York Penn-Club award and an award from the Jewish Agency. In each chapter of this book, the author describes his many experiences during the Nazi occupation.
